The Berry

Berry is a former province located in central France , now part of the Centre-Val de Loire region. During the French Revolution, Berry was divided into two departments: Cher and Indre.

It is a passage route between the North and East of France (Champagne, Lorraine, ...) and the South-West regions ( Poitou and Aquitaine ). It is bordered to the South by the first hills of the Massif Central ( Limousin , Auvergne ).

Berry is fascinating with its wooded and still untouched natural spaces. It is a region very rich in terms of natural heritage with the particularity of the Indre which is essentially composed of rural landscapes.

You can go on excursions, hikes, fishing in the lakes and rivers of our region, kayaking, swimming, bungee jumping for those looking for adrenaline, etc.

The region is also rich in cultural heritage, and as George Sand said, "tourism in Indre is for those who seek to recharge and rediscover the authenticity of our French regions."
